To God be the Glory!

There are many times I am required to write letters on be­half of the ministry. Recently I wrote of our emergency situation with the rezoning of Friendship Camp. It is not an easy thing to write that type of letter, asking people to not only pray for our ministry, but to intervene on our camp’s behalf, and in a very brief time span, re­spond. It was a desperate situation.

Today I am able to write a different type of letter—not a request for earnest prayer for a desperate need, but a letter of thanksgiving for the great things God has done. And he did it through His people, through you. It is my privilege to share with you that we were able, within just two short weeks, to raise the entire amount needed to pay for the rezoning of the Friendship Camp property.

I have been writing letters to our friends for many years now, with both good and bad news. I don’t remember a time when we have had such significant need, and God’s people responded so quickly. Realizing that we are living in difficult financial times, I am overwhelmed at how generous God’s people have been. I believe this is a time when we are all going to have to evaluate how and for what purpose we are using the resources God has given to us. And when we are using these resources for “Kingdom Building”, then He will provide for us in both good and bad times.

Now we do not have to be concerned about whether we will be able to have camps. This summer is promising to be another record breaking year for the number of campers who will attend Friendship Camp. We look forward to sharing the results of our camps in Romania and Hungary with you in just a few short months.

Tours

Are you ready for Christmas? (Already?!) We're starting early this year with the planning for our tour of the Christmas Markets of Europe combined with visits to orphanages in Romania and Hungary.
